General

Guests over 27 years of age can only be accommodated in the youth guesthouse if the house is not occupied or fully booked by younger guests or families with children.

Groups of young people under the age of 18 can only be accommodated if accompanied by at least one responsible person. The accompanying persons must stay overnight in the house.

Registration

Individual guests can register by phone, in writing, by fax or by email. For groups (6 persons or more) a written registration (letter or fax) is required (see registration form).

Deposit

Groups of 16 persons or more make the following deposit:

50% of the price of the stay (price of accommodation incl. meals) within 14 days after receiving the booking confirmation.
50% of the price of the stay at the latest 4 weeks before arrival.
If the booking period is shorter, 100% of the price of the stay must be paid at the latest upon arrival.

Transfer fees will be charged to the payer.

Payment

Individuals pay the accommodation price for the booked period in advance upon arrival.

Payment can be made in cash or by credit (Visa, Master, Diners) and ec/maestro card.

Oktoberfest bookings

Only online bookings are accepted. 100% prepayment applies. In case of cancellation/change no refund is possible.

Cancellation

Individuals may cancel free of charge in writing or by phone up to 24 hours prior to the booked arrival date. In the event of a no-show, we reserve the right to charge the first night’s stay to everyone’s credit card.

For groups, cancellation must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees will be retained:

-less than 3 months before arrival: 30% of the total amount.

-less than 2 months before arrival: 40% of the total amount

-less than 1 month before arrival: 50% of the total amount

less than 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount including the cost of any meals (lunch, dinner, packed lunch) The same rule applies if the number of checked-in group members has decreased compared to the registered number.

Reasonable cancellations by the Youth Hostel towards registered guests must be made in writing at least 2 weeks before the day of arrival. Affected guests will receive assistance in finding alternative accommodation.

House rules

The house rules are part of the present terms and conditions. In case of violations of the house rules, the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband is entitled to terminate the accommodation contract without notice.

Liability

Whoever causes damage to the building, inventory or elevators is liable for it within the framework of the legal regulations (in particular also accompanying persons and organizers).

Upon departure of groups, an inspection of the rooms will be carried out by the house staff. Compensation for any damage, in particular also for lost keys, will be charged. The youth hostel is only liable for damages caused to the guest if the person causing the damage is house staff and has acted with gross negligence.
